At Mary Hare 6th Form we believe in helping hearing-impaired students to aim high. We are without doubt the biggest centre for deaf students wanting to study A Levels, BTECs and NVQs in the UK. Nearly every student at Mary Hare School stays with us for 6th Form and we are delighted to welcome students from other schools. We are delighted that almost all our students leave us to go university, a college of further education, apprenticeships or into employment.
Our aim is to remove the obstacles that might prevent our students from reaching their potential. We have a dedicated team of specialist Teachers of the Deaf, excellent resources and small class sizes, and this combined with the hard work and determination of our students, leads to excellent results.
We take great pride in the achievements of our students. Our resourcing means we can cater for students wishing to pursue purely academic courses, those who wish to take the vocational path and those who desire a mixture of the two. At Mary Hare, we offer a huge range of courses and will always do our best to develop a bespoke programme which meets your individual needs
"The good thing about studying A levels at Mary Hare is the small classes enabling us to work harder, progress quicker and develop a good rapport with our subject teachers – making it much easier to achieve the grades we want."
